New Delhi, October 2026: JKC Sports, the multi-sport venture backed by the Singhania family, has announced plans to deploy ₹100–150 crore over the next four to five years towards expanding its presence across sports infrastructure, technology and the creation of new sporting intellectual properties (IPs).
The planned investment marks the next phase of JKC Sports’ long-term commitment to building a strong and sustainable sports ecosystem in India. The company has already deployed a similar quantum of capital over the past four years, establishing a growing portfolio spanning sports franchises, platforms, partnerships and athlete-focused opportunities.
Founded with a vision to build a diversified presence across the sports landscape, JKC Sports is pursuing opportunities that extend beyond conventional franchise ownership. Its approach combines investments in established sporting properties with the development of new IPs, capabilities and platforms that can create long-term value across the sports ecosystem.
“Sports in India is entering a phase where the opportunity extends well beyond leagues and franchises. We see significant potential in building infrastructure, enabling technology and developing sporting IPs that can create lasting value for athletes, fans and the wider ecosystem. Our next phase of investment reflects our belief in the long-term potential of Indian sport,” said Madhav Singhania, Co-Founder, JKC Sports.
Building Across Multiple Sporting Disciplines
JKC Sports is evaluating opportunities across eight to ten sporting disciplines, with areas of interest including cricket, bridge, squash, shooting, swimming, badminton, wrestling and powerlifting.
The organisation’s portfolio already includes ownership of the Gwalior franchise in the Madhya Pradesh T20 League, alongside partnerships with Lucknow Super Giants, Kashi Rudras in the UP T20 League and American Gambits in the Global Chess League.
In the non-traditional sports space, JKC Sports has partnered with the Bridge Federation of India to contribute towards the development and professionalisation of bridge, while its MyBridge360 platform is focused on strengthening the digital and community ecosystem around the sport.
The company has also expanded into the fitness, health and wellness segment through its investment in Sheru Classic Universe, a global platform with a presence across nine countries.
From Investing in Franchises to Creating Sporting IP
While franchises remain an important part of its sports strategy, JKC Sports is taking a selective approach to evaluating new opportunities. The organisation considers factors such as governance, federation stability, financial transparency, the commitment of stakeholders and the potential to build a strong local fan base.
Where these factors do not support sustainable long-term value creation, JKC Sports intends to explore opportunities to develop its own sporting properties, including initiatives that can operate across the grassroots, talent development and professional levels.
This approach is designed to enable JKC Sports to participate in the growth of sport not only as an investor, but also as a builder of sporting ecosystems and IP.
Strengthening Capabilities for the Sports Ecosystem
As part of its expansion, JKC Sports has also invested in a dedicated capability centre that supports its existing portfolio while developing capabilities that can serve other businesses operating within the sports industry.
The focus is on bringing together expertise across sports management, technology, content, digital platforms and other specialist capabilities required to build and scale modern sports properties.
With its next phase of investment, JKC Sports aims to deepen its presence across the sports value chain while contributing to the continued professionalisation and growth of India's sporting ecosystem.
